Devils Nook landslip remediation
Summary
Kempsey Shire Council recently remediated a large landslip at Devils Nook which occurred in January 2021.
The project required large-scale civil and geotechnical engineering construction to install rock bolts and mesh to cover the rock face.
Funding
Council applied for and received Transport for NSW funding for the works.
Timeframe
The works began in May 2022 and were completed in October 2022.
Council thanks hinterland residents for cooperating with road crews and following temporary signage.
Location
The landslip was on Armidale Road, approximately 6km east of Bellbrook.
